Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ClearRound.ai (the "Service"), operated as a sole proprietorship based in Gurugram, Haryana, India ("ClearRound", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data. It is intended to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are (Data Fiduciary)
For the purposes of the DPDP Act, ClearRound is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data. Our contact details for privacy matters are in Section 11.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- a. Account data. Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you register.
- b. Profile and resume data. Information you add to build your profile or use our tools — including your resume content, work experience, education, skills, projects, job preferences, and any documents (such as a PDF resume or LinkedIn export) you upload.
- c. Interview data. When you use the mock interview feature, your spoken answers are transcribed to text. We do not store the audio recording. The audio is captured in your browser, sent to our speech-to-text provider for transcription, and discarded immediately after transcription. Only the resulting text transcript of your answer is saved, together with the interview questions and your scores.
- d. Usage data. Information about how you use the Service — features used, interview scores, tool activity, and similar — used to provide features like progress tracking and skill-gap analysis.
- e. Payment data. When you subscribe, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles these directly. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status and transaction records.
- f. Technical data. Standard log and device information (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps), and analytics and error-tracking data, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Generate tailored interview questions, score your answers, and provide feedback;
- Build and update your profile, optimize resumes, run ATS scans, and produce salary and career analyses;
- Process your subscription and payments (via Razorpay);
- Track your progress and provide features such as skill-gap analysis and learning plans;
- Communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates;
- Monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We process your data on the basis of your consent and to provide the Service you have requested. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8), though doing so may limit your ability to use certain features.
4. AI Processing
The Service uses third-party AI providers to generate questions, transcribe speech, and produce scores and analyses. When you use these features, the relevant text (for example, your resume content, a job description, or your transcribed answer) is sent to these providers to perform the requested task. These providers process the data to return a result and act as our processors. See Section 6 for the list of providers.
5. How We Share Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (Data Processors) listed in Section 6, who process it on our behalf to operate the Service, and with authorities where required by law.
6. Service Providers (Sub-Processors)
We rely on the following third parties to process certain data on our behalf:

|---|---|---|
| Razorpay | Payment processing | India |
| Groq | AI inference and speech-to-text transcription | United States |
| Anthropic | AI inference | United States |

Some of these providers are located outside India. Where your data is transferred to and processed by providers outside India, we do so to deliver the Service you have requested, and in accordance with the DPDP Act and any applicable government restrictions on cross-border transfers.
7. Data Retention
- Account, profile, resume, and interview transcript data is retained for as long as your account is active. We do not automatically delete this data while your account remains active.
- On account deletion, we erase your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
- Payment and transaction records are retained for up to 7 years to comply with Indian tax and accounting laws.
- Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies you may be retained indefinitely.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal-data breach affecting you, we will act in accordance with applicable law.
10. Cookies and Tracking
